myHappymind Plus at Our School

At our school, we are proud to deliver myHappymind Plus, a whole-school PSHE (Personal, Social, Health and Economic) curriculum designed to support children’s mental health, wellbeing and personal development.

What is myHappymind Plus?

myHappymind Plus is a comprehensive, whole-school PSHE programme that supports children from Early Years through to Year 6. It is:

  • Fully aligned with UK PSHE guidance and statutory Relationships Education
  • Designed to support mental health, wellbeing and personal development
  • Built on science, research and neuroscience
  • Delivered through engaging, ready-to-use lessons and activities

The programme combines mental wellbeing education with the wider PSHE curriculum, ensuring children develop the knowledge and skills they need to thrive.

What does the curriculum include?

myHappymind Plus is made up of four key strands:

  • myHappymind – Developing positive mental health, resilience and wellbeing
  • myHappyBody – Health and wellbeing education
  • myHappyRelationships – Relationships education
  • myHappyWorld – Living in the wider world

These strands ensure full coverage of both statutory and non-statutory PSHE content.

The myHappymind Approach

The core myHappymind programme teaches children essential life skills through five modules:

  • Meet Your Brain – Understanding how the brain works and how to manage emotions
  • Celebrate – Recognising and valuing individual strengths
  • Appreciate – Developing gratitude and positive thinking
  • Relate – Building strong, healthy relationships
  • Engage – Setting goals and developing resilience

Through these modules, children learn to:

  • Understand and manage their emotions
  • Build resilience and confidence
  • Develop positive relationships
  • Improve focus and readiness to learn

Our Whole-School Approach

myHappymind Plus is more than just a curriculum—it supports a whole-school culture of wellbeing.

  • Taught to every child, every year
  • Reinforced through assemblies, routines and classroom practice
  • Supported by a Parent App, helping families continue learning at home
  • Includes resources that support staff wellbeing and training

Impact for Children

Research and school feedback show that myHappymind helps children to:

  • Feel happier and more confident
  • Develop stronger emotional regulation
  • Improve self-esteem and resilience

  • Feel more ready to learn

Supporting Families

We encourage parents and carers to get involved through the myHappymind Parent App, which:

  • Shares what children are learning in school
  • Provides simple activities to do at home
  • Helps create a shared language around wellbeing
